Thinking of going to Orlando Florida in May. Anyone experience of courses over there, quality, cost etc etc. Pictures look fantastic, although most things do look good in 80' sunshine.

My plan is to bring my clubs.

Anyone any info that would assist?

I've never played in Orlando itself, but have played quite a few times in Fort Lauderdale/Miami.

My experiences are all good. Get up and play early. Avoid the hottest part of the day. Good value abounds.

    Hi,

I've played 3 times around Orlando. I was there for the PGA show 2 years ago so it was busy, that's the last week in January to the first week of Febuary. It should be quieter in May.

Value was still excellent, especially if you can find some internet offers. I got 2 for 1 one green fees at one course, free club rental at another and a free buggy at the last course. Note most course's require you to take a buggy.

I'd imagine the bargains are even better now what with the decline in the US golf industry.
