I need a hook to get people to click on our webpage link (insurance site) from a popular Irish website. One suggestion was a competition for a holiday but will this be effective for targetting corporate clients in the B2B sector? Any other suggestions?

There's lots of hooks you could use but to work out what would work best, you'd have to study the target audience, demographic, age range, male/female, etc. What's the site you'll be advertising on?

I presume you want to get people into a database of sales leads so you could have a signup form and a competition offering a prize that is targeted at the person filling out the form. Alternatively, it could be a small survey thing so that they answer 2-3 questions about their insurance buying habits for their company. This would help qualify leads a little better so you would only ask for name, company, email, phone, 2-3 questions and they're into the draw. By qualifying the entrants to the competition, you'll have a better list to follow up with afterwards.

Everyone enjoys a holiday so that's not a bad prize. It could be anything iphone, itouch, spa weekend away or a choice of a couple of prizes so you cover as many different prizes to suit different entrants.

I'm rambling on now but hope this is of some help!

    Rgds, Dave

    Hi Dave,

Our target demographic group is defined specifically by their profession. Based on this I think I'm going to go ahead with the competition for an expensive luxurious holiday. I think this will attract our target market sufficiently.

    thanks for your help
