    Silky Sullivan ~ http://www.secondrunning.com/Silky%20Sullivan3.htm

Nothing more exciting than watching a race horse "come from the clouds" to win.
(especially, if you're holding a ticket on him!) ;)
I've always been fond of thoroughbreds who come flying at the end of a race...
Silky Sullivan was probably the best there ever was at making that particular move.
Not the greatest horse to ever grace the race track...
but perhaps the best stretch runner the sport has ever known.

    Thanks for posting the video.
It's nice to watch the action from Santa Anita...
even 50 year old footage is preferable to what we had with this past weekend.
We've been shut-down @ Santa Anita for the past 3 days due to heavy rains.
Our $11 MILLION new and improved poly-track racing surface is a bust.
Pretty to look at... but no drainage, so it turns to soup... sloppy, poly, soup!!!
