Sandyford Luas Park n Ride

Am i the only one who is noticing the severe lack of parking facilities on the green line at Sandyford and Stillorgan stops. I noticed that the Sandyford park and ride has closed for reconfiguration work from yesterday but has so far not been touched in way of any preparation for or actual construction work. I would have thought it would have made sense to keep this car park open until construction was due to start rather than have it stand empty losing money.

I arrived at the industrial estate at around 8.10 this morning to find the 2 stillorgan car parks full.

Have to say if this the future of the green line I may just start driving to work.

The balally park&ride has the highest capacity.
you might have better luck trying there.

Howver I reckon it will be a moot point after the extension is complete as the trams will all be full well before they reach the sandyford stop.

There are only a few of those spaces coming back post the works. They need more space for the works for the Cherrywood extension.

The RPA spin " there will be 300 spaces available" and then in smaller print "at the new stations"
