hi I am trying to build a windows 2003 server on an IBM thinkpad pc MT-M 9641-7VG. However, I am unable to connect to anything on the network. There appears to be a problem with the network connection. When I type ipconfig/all in cmd it says Windows IP Configuration & nothing else. In network connections in control panel there is no connections & if I check in device manager, there are lots of yellow exclamation marks beside other devices & ethernet controller. can anyone please help?

Go to the manufacturer's website on another machine and download the drivers for your hardware. If Windows 2003 drivers are not available, Windows XP ones will probably work anyway.

Why are you installing a server OS on a laptop?
