A first for Fender?

I found a recent video on Youtube of Steve Bailey playing at a clinic. He's playing a 6 string Fender Jazz fretless. I believe this is a first for Fender, a somewhat regular looking 6 string Jazz Bass, I may be mistaken though. Its rumoured that it'll be released as a Fender signature instrument this year sometime, word on the street is that the price would be $1500-$2000~. Pretty nice looking, although I prefer Steve's older Aria Pro II Avante 6 sig. :)

    Here's the vid-yo! :D

    :)

Lovely bass and a lovely playing technique. He makes it look so simple :(

That is very nice. Been a long time since I gassed over a bass, but there you have it folks. 6 strings, fretless, Hungus approved. ;)
