I bought twice from them. Once the delivery was slightly delayed, but I got progress reports from them, so not an issue. On the second time their courier (GLS) messed things up quite badly and sent the stuff back under the pretext that the address was incomplete. iBood gave me the option of trying once more or refunding me. I chose the second and they did it immediately, plus they sent me a voucher for free delivery on my next buy from them. Overall I am happy with them and more importantly, trust them after their good follow up when there were issues.

About the TV, I tried to check it out, but this model only seems to have been sold in Portugal, and it is not clear if it it LCD or plasma. Anyone else knows?

Looks like a great deal and I can vouch for iboods reliability. Not the quickest but for something like this it's worth the wait.

They get an awful lot of bad press primarily around delivery times but at the prices they charge; the surprise element and the backup they give, I think it's just the Irish negative attitude to be honest. TV looks like a great buy if u need something that big. Previous largest TV of 103" @ 120,000 just outpassed today with announcement of 150" plasma for 150,000 so makes the Samsung a deal don't u think!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is 8ms response time and 10,000:1 contrast a little weak?

Couldn't find any TV reviews online. I think the correct model number may be CE47FHW07.

Seems fine to me, even thought it's only the dynamic contrast ratio that's rated at 10,000:1... the actual contrast ratio is 1,000:1 IIRC.

Their delivery times can be pretty bad tbh. A lot of the time they're grand but often they take too long to even ship the item. When this happens it can be next to impossible to get a reply from their customer service.

It has happened that they will sell you an item before sending you an eMail saying the item is unavailable for some reason. This happened with one of their €800 laptop offers.

These problems, coupled with the fake comments they post about how fantastic every item is, earn them their bad press.

Delivery times aren't great but apart from that I find them to be a very good company....

There delivery and customer service isn't great, but they have fantastic deals. I've bought a load of stuff off them and my only complaint is the slow delivery at times.

10,000:1 contrast is a great spec, there are higher specs around but a much higher price tag
