Cross Platform [Mac <=> WIndows] Bookmarking

    I currently use Google bookmarking [GBM], in IE, which allows you to access your bookmarks from any pc.

    The GBM facility is not available on the Mac [Safari etc]
    Some research thereon suggested using one of the social networks [SN] as a cross platform bookmark repository.

    Any suggestions on which one to use, or other ideas?
    The reason I want to do it is that Safari on the mac side is much more stable than IE on the virtual drive, it hangs at least twice a day and the error message feedback is that the IE options are the problem, ie Google toolbar.

    I also want to be able to transfer all my GBM's to the cross platform SN option.

    One concern I have is that the SN's seem to be very transparent and virtually no privacy: sharing bookmarks seems a badge of honor.
