Bought the new dell inspiron 1501 with vista.
Which has a built memory card reader sd/sdio/mmc it says on the top of it.
I have a memory card from a nokia phone which has videos i need.
It fits in perfectly, the laptop seems to read it as so far as everytime i put it in the icon to safely remove it appears(Ricoh MMC disk device) it says when clicked on. but cant see it anywhere in computer.
Should i be looking for it somewhere else any ideas how i can read,or whats wrong?

    Thanks

Have a look in My Computer, how many mapped drives do you have? Most likely the reader is trying to take a drive letter that's already in use.

Right click my computer > manage > disk management
Check which letter it's trying to use. If it's already in use, right click and 'change drive letter and path
Change it to a letter that isn't in use

Just realised it's Vista-this solution probably won't work!

Right click computer > manage > disk management
Does it show up here? If so you may need to initialise it
