Transferring Dell warranty/insurance cover

Quick question - I'm thinking of selling my Inspiron laptop. It has over a year of extended warranty/accidental damage cover remaining. Will I need to contact Dell to transfer these or could they automatically be used by the new owner of the laptop? I have the service tag and original docs.

I emailed them directly on International_Tag_Transfer@Dell.com and they sorted it fairly easily.
Just give them the story , service tag and express code from laptop and they'll take it from there.
