Can anyone tell me how I go about doing a full ILS approach into EINN RWY 06. I can intercept the ILS approach but I can find how to use the glideslope. I can't do it on any ILS to be honest I'm just familiar with app into rwy 6 einn.
I've found lots of info online but its complicated and I've not been able to do it yet.

Use the APP function on the autopilot, or use the visual glide path aid on one of the menu's

My advice is fly to the foynes ndb and then head in for a straight in app. As Im sure you already know the course heading is 59 degrees and the freq is 109.500
set that up then fly the app, its an ils dme app which I have never flown actually, I only flew the 24 procedure, but from my knowledge of ils that is how its done, check this out for more help!:) http://www.iaa.ie/safe_reg/iaip/Published%20Files/AIP%20Files/AD/Chart%20Files/EINN/EI_AD_2_EINN_24_12_en.pdf
Neon-circles know the approach like the back of his hand he's flown it so man y times so his advice would be the best to follow

    lol......

I know what altitude I need to be when for the the app.....lucky the 737 can shave off some height pretty rapidly. Had to be at 4000feet for the STAR onto 24 last night, but was at 15000 6nm before! We were expecting 06 but it was changed to 24 etc...

Best bet to be at 3500 feet at FOY. Once flying inwards o nthe ILS, as the needle descends downwards, descend with it. When its in the centre you're perfect...

I thought the autopilot would manage the height on the glideslope too. Am I wrong to assume this?

Ya....but just try to imagine the glideslope- you must intercept it at the right height, lets say 4000, then at 4000 when you become established it will control the altitude, but you have to get it down to a proper altitude to intercept the glideslope first! It does the hard work!

    Intercept it from below,not above.

Use the PAPI/VASI as a visual aid if you have trouble following the glideslope needle. (These are the white and red lights left or right of the runway)

Once established on the glideslope,i.e. the horizontal needle is in the centre, start decending at about 1,200 ft/min (i think). Keep the glideslope needle centred as much as possible.

A good method ive found is to try and keep a 1 inch gap between the runway threshold and the top of the aircarft's instrument console. Maintain this all the way down and you should touchdown at the right altitude.

Give the ILS lesson a few goes in the learning centre, its a good overview to how to intercept and complete ILS approaches...

yeah i think that is my best option cos i don't exactly understand what i'm doing. thanks for all the help offered. is a real plane like this too?

Id say its a lot harder :d but the basic theory of what you're doing would be the same!

Theres a good few videos on youtube that might help you...

Heres an old tutorial from Flightsim.com which might help you a bit more, its for the 737-500 though so its a different cockpit:
