Now that work has been completed and today was the first realtest of the new layout & lights, how did it perform?
I didn't go that way this morning, but if what I saw last week is anything to go by, I've a feeling it's not very good.

Anyway what would you give it, marks out of 10?

prob. best to merge this off the end of the N4-M50 upgrade thread since we were talking about it there last week.,.

I thought about that, but think it warrants a thread of it's own.
The other thread is about a different junction, perhaps the Ballymount stuff should be separated out.

I'm dissapointed that they have not prevented people from junction-frogging* in the new layout.

    * going off and back on again at same junction - thus leading them to believe they are entitled to drive in the hard shoulder along the entire M50, indicating left, and totally screwing up the exit time at junctions for people who are actually using them for their proper purpose.

When the mainline is complete hopefully there will be less incentive to "junction-hop", but those lights are so slow, that in itself should put people off.
