    Not via satellite.

Your best option is to ask someone in Oz to setup a slingbox for ABC, SBS etc and you could return the favour with a slingbox for BBC, C4, RTÉ etc.

Make sure both ends have good upload speed (512K or better, not entry level 128k) and big or no Cap. :(

I wouldn't hold my breath about the ABC broadcasting to Europe - it's hard enough convincing it to broadcast to New Zealand. ABC does have a VoD service on its website, which doesn't appear to be confined to its home market, unlike TVNZ's. A few years ago, I used to be able to watch ABC Asia Pacific (now called the Australia Network) via a South Korean website, but alas, no longer.

There's someone in Taiwan who might be able to help you get Australia Network through a Slingbox or HAVA - Taiwan's broadband leaves that in most Western countries (not least Australia) for dead, so you only need worry about the connection from your end. See here If it's €85 a month for a multichannel package, I'm not sure how much it would be for just the one Aussie channel.

That said, most of the good stuff on ABC and SBS is from the BBC or Channel 4 anyway, and unless you're into rugby league or Aussie rules, Australia Network isn't that interesting.
