    Hi all,
have my wii downstairs and it only sees my router 1 in 4 times i check the connection. i presume its a signal strength issue.

will buying a better aerial improve the strength of the signal?
where is the best/cheapest place to get one?

My router is a canyon 802.11g router.

    band set to 2.4ghz (B+G)

    Thanks,
    Mike

Try adjusting the position/direction of the antenna/antennae first to see if that makes any difference.

    ill do that.
If it doesnt work i presume i can just get a better antenna and it will screw in place of the one thats there?

I am guessing your wireless router is upstairs??..

If so you will need to get your hands on a directional antenna..
