Head down the Port De Vieux in Biarritz, real narrow street that heads from the main sq area to an old port and around to the Cote Des Basques surf beach. Anyway on that street, place on the left called Hotel Palmya or somethin like that. It'll be on your left near the bottom of the street as you head towards the sea. Nice, clean and cheap! prob €30 - €40 for a double room. Hossegor Beach will be dead this time of year as soon as the sun goes down. The main town might be marginally better but Biarritz is best shot and hire a car. 25 mins to Hossegor or San Sebastian on the motorway. enjoy
