theres something strange going on in work, my new boss, (of 12 months) delegates me work/tasks and then just disappears! its like, hey do this thing for me (explains what is required) then gets up and walks out of our office! its as if he is getting out of the picture incase i ask any questions! i have been keeping my ear open and he does this with some of the other workers too! my old boss never did this!
    any ideas whats going on?

Well firstly, not all managers are the same and have different styles of managemen or simply are just different people.

Secondly, its a managers job to delegate work and to keep the team running...

    Thirdly, your fired!!...

The only person who can answer the question realistically is your boss. Are you supposed to be keeping tabs on him or something? If not, get back to work!

The likely answer is that he's a bit lazy so is delegating everything to you and then doing [insert whatever] himself.

If the work atmosphere is nice; if he's an understanding boss; if you're not overworked... then I wouldn't worry about it!

Is this your first "real" job?
