Can Anybody Answer This?

Ok guys here is one for you, Ive been told that if your born Jewish no matter what your Nationality is at birth you will automatically recieve an Israeli Passport...Is this true or is someone telling porkies?

yep I've several american friends who are jewish and a few have claimed israeli passports thou they have to be careful using them as under israeli law everyone has to serve mandatory military service with very few exceptions. They have to get a letter from their temple in new york before going to israel saying they are still in school otherwise they wouldn't be let out of the country.

Liberia has something similar as they country was founded by returning salves from the US, only people of african decent can obtain citizenship. In israel, if your not jewish but were born in israel, you would be intitled to israeli citizenship. But in Liberia if you are not of african decent, even if you were born there, you can not get citizenship.

Any wonder they're taking all the Palestinian's land, givin away all them passports, But I suppose they've gotta get numbers for their army from somewhere !!!!

The State needs to produce vast numbers of extra passports because of this rather odd rule. The result? An increase in the need for paper, meaning that extra land with trees is seized and the Palestinians are herded away to a passport factory, where they will slave away for weeks on end.

its not as easy as just being born Jewish automatic passport but its true

also as far as I know Israel will not give up one of its Jewish citizens to any country for prosecution regardless of the crime

I have been porking a jew lately (see what I did there?) from Israel. I never knew one before. I used to kind of hate the idea of their country but you have to admire them, they've certainly got cojones living in a country surrounded by countries that absolutely HATE them and want to blow them up. Apparently it's really hard to get bacon/pork in Israel, she eats it here though, and she had to go to the army so the lasses have to do it too. Plus they are pure FILTH in the sack. So that's my take on Jews/Israelies.

They don't need cojones surrounded by countries who hate them, just alot of weapons, I wonder how they manage? borrow some from a super power perhaps?

Thats crazy that, I wonder were all those Palestinians in the refugee camps get all their weapons perhaps Allah builds them from dirt in the ground for them or perhaps they are also supplied by external sources perhaps the very countries that surround the State of Israel

ah but switching to judaism wouldn't automaticaly get you an israeli passport as you wouldn't be jewish, you'd just be a convert - judasim is past on via the mother which is why my friends mum is so annoyed he is dating a christain girl as any kids they would have wouldn't be jewish.

You can convert and get a passport but there is a procedure to be followed

You dont automatically get one when your born jewish either you have to apply for it

Anyone who is given Irish citizenship is entitled to apply for an irish passport

As for having to sit a test I'm not sure. If you claiming citizenship by decent [ie mum/grannie/great grandad /whatever was irish] you just have to bring a pile 'o forums in [your birthcert, their birth cart, Marriage certificate etc] but theres no written test.

If your claiming it by naturalisation or marriage to an Irish citizen I'm not sure what the process is. I'm sure someone on here knows.

Knew a few Israelis, majority couldn't give a damn about the religion.
They love Irish sausages and rashers.
How many people are listed as Catholic in the census?, compare that to how many people actually practice.
