Explaining Coherence in //'s

    I just do not understand
    what it does
    is supposed to do
    what makes it so good etc.
    Would appreciate a coherent explanation please.:)

    i assume you mean // == parallels?

    had me stumped for a bit, as for an answer i'm not sure as i don't use coherence that much. actually in fact i rearly use paralells despite paying for it :(

    It just creates a seamless desktop environment between OSX and Parallels/Windows. So XP/Vista apps run as if they were mac apps as apposed to being in a separate window. I haven't used it myself. I prefer to keep Windows in it's corner. :D

    Yeah and say if you have a application running that runs in Windows (Photoshop for example) you have the ability to save the file onto the Mac partition if you want. It's pretty cool.

    Thanks guys, I think I will leave windows in its corner.

    In passing the // shared folder on the desktop in windows is the same as the user name 'folder' in the mac, under Finder, so you can X save, perhaps a little incoherently:)
