Just got a new Samsung plasma screen and although I have its working fine the picture seems a bit bright. I remember reading somewhere lately that there are websites that deal with specific settings i.e. brightness/contrast etc and was wondering if someone could reccomend such a site. I know how to do it manually, just cant find the right balance.

This forum, AVforums, UK forum is the place to go:

First things first is take it off dynamic mode or whatever Samsung call the ultra high contrast mode. Change it to normal or cinema mode with 50% contrast, brightness.

They will also recommend using a break-in DVD for first 100hrs. I used it on my Panasonic and it worked a treat. It can be downloaded here and burned using Nero.
