Holidaying in Spain/Portugal with 4 year old

Myself, my parents and my four year old are planning a holiday in Spain/Portugal for May 2008. Does anyone have any good reccomendations for places that are both good for kids and adults - and not packed full of awful night clubs and apt blocks?!:D Cheers, Ed
