The image on the screen of my wife's laptop ( Toshiba running Windows Vista ) has turned 90 degrees anti-clockwise. She picked it up off the ground and may, or may not, have pressed some keys !! Any ideas how to get it back to normal???

Try ctrl + alt and up arrow to fix.

Alternatively, right-click on the desktop - the pop-up menu should have an option to right it.

Or a personal favourite of mine is to take a screen capture, save it off using MS Paint.

Now set that picture to the background and hide all the "real" icons.

So the poor sod will be clicking on all the "icons" which are really a picture of the icons. :D

Yeah that takes a few minutes to do though, this one can be done in seconds, always do it in a lecture if someone turns around to talk to the person on the other side of them

Don't forget to hide the start-bar, too. :)

There is a great program somewhere on the net called clippy (remember that guy from the old office packages) where clippy will appear at certain intervals and give the user advice. It's extremely irritating. We had it running on one of the lecturers computers, 'twas hilarious.
