NTL Customer Services

I was supposed to have somebody from NTL come over this morning to install NTL Digital Choice TV at our appartment. It's now almost 2.30 in the afternoon and they've still not arrived.

I've been trying to call NTL Customer Services (on 1908 and189 0940 624) for the past hour to speak to Sales to find out if i'm even really booked in for this today or not and when the expect the guy to arrive. But I can't get through. It rings once and goes straight onto hold. Each time i've held for in excess of 5 mins and have still not got through.

I have checked online and it is open today until 7pm. I just wondered if there are any other ways of getting in contact with them over the telephone and/or if this is common practice of theres?

    Thankyou

If they haven't come out by now it won't be installed today - they should have been out before the time you posted on here, keep trying on 1908 to find out when they'll be out to you next. I'd keep holding on as it's a freephone number so you've nothing to loose (except your patience :D) and no there's no other number to get them on the only other way is by e-mail which I advise you not to do if you want a quick reply.

I sent an email to UPC before the end of November, it took them 16 DAYS to reply

They usually answer the phone in about 15 minutes, at least they pay for the call now. Because of that and the fact they won't acknowledge its an area fault until three customers have called, I decided to get SKY+ instead. As a result I have more channels at a lower cost. (22 euro a month for sky with 2 mixes as opposed to 27 euro for the basic analogue chorus)
