    Lmao :D

There's another clip that a fellow boardsie showed me a while back, someone asks him what he thinks about product placement. His reply is priceless. I'll have a perusal for it...

The man is a genius. He is for want of a better word Legen-(pause for effect)-dary. No other film makers in cinematic history, bar Hitchcock and Crnenberg has had their name used to describe a form of cinema.

His blunt responses are the stuff of legend.
When I saw him in Trinity a few months back, his complete dismissal of any 'stupid' questions was hilarious. Although serves the eejit who asked "what's your favourite film of yours?" right.

Im pretty sure they are selling it cheap there too!
Id buy it, but two viewings is enough for anyone who values their sanity.
And I mean that it in the nicest possible way.

Sounds good! All I need now is season 2 of Twin Peaks...

What a guy! That's the best media quote about movies this year. Best two quotes actually. One of the few directors who I still believe can be labelled visionary, without making me want to burst out laughing afterwards.

What a coincidence. It's exactly the same thing that I said after watching Eraserhead.

Were running out of space to bury the bodies. Why are'nt all people appreciative of true cinematic genius???

    He's no Werner Herzog though.

"It's not significant". Empire did a great cover on him.

    Lynch = Legend. Thank you.

    I like Eraserhead.

How arrogant of the man to assume people just play movies on irubbish. I'm a big devotee of Portable media players and they are grand for TV shows.

If Lynch had any balls he'd tell people to stop buying his DVD's and instead only experience his movies theatrically.

The retort to the product placement just shows what a fool he is. His career and fanbase are the ultimate modern-day incarnation of the Emperors New Clothes.

Love that video. Mans a crazy bastard. There is also a video where he eats his own shoe as part of a bet :D

Down with this Eraserhead hating though! Any film that features
a crazy ass rat baby screaming and transforming into a giant mutant creature at the end
    is good in my books.

And can't disagree with you more, Pigman. I think with a decent home environment and entertainment system a film can be watched in excellent conditions. I know the cinema is superior (I will watch whatever films I can in the cinema) but he is dead on about Ipods. Whatever about TV shows, watching an atmospheric film like INLAND EMPIRE on a tiny screen for 3 hours is madness.

I wonder were those Riefenstahl-esque camera angles intentional? :D

Germans should learn to stop having to apologise.

That is probably the greatest single piece of Lynch footage I've seen all weekend! Except for Blue Velvet and Wild At Heart which I watched yesterday.

i know where pigman is coming from..a lot of heads think the "mystery" element in his films is ott and silly etc..and get flustered when there is no answer for themselves to absorb.

    But lynch is the man.
Christ.. the things I would eat of his arse

I've heard that KyleMacLachlan wants to make a new episodes of Twin Peaks as The Internet Show. I don't know if it's true or not but I think it is not good idea. BTW is there any thread about Twin Peaks???I couldn't find it :(

About Lynch, well he is unique person. You can call him a genius, you can call him a madman but the truth is he is a legend.

Never been a fan of Lynch tbh, Elephant Man and The Straight Story aside I just find his movies to be pretentious twaddle for the most part, Inland Empire was awful

Well, INLAND EMPIRE is a difficult movie, I have to admit I've never seen ending (1 and 32 minutes is my record). I like The Straight Story very much. It's based on true events and it is not as simple movie as many pople thinks. Lost Highway is difficult but at least you're not feeling exhausted when you're watching the picture. And off course don't forget about Mulholland drv, one of the best picture in the history of cinematography (my opinion :)). Well, Lynch as same as Tarantiono is a legend. They made different kind of movies but they have unique style.
