Any suggestions on combating what smells like dead mice under floorboards that cannot be lifted

Time and ventilation- smell goes eventually. They smell worse in the summer but the smell goes quicker.

Anything else you use is only going to mask the smell and you need a lot of air fresheners to cover up that smell.

But do check if there is any ventilation to the under floor area and its not blocked. If this is a downstairs wood floor on an older house then there should be vents in the wall but due to foolish ideas about keeping the house warmer these get blocked up.

If you are having problems with rats and mice with conventional poisons because you can't recover the dead bodies try using a maize based rat killer. The maize isn't metabolized properly and dehydrates the rodents and the desiccated corpses don't smell ;-)
