Not sure if it is all over the country or just a local offer, but our local Centra (Manorhamilton, Leitrim) are selling the Gymbody Plus by Slendertone for €39.99.. Goodbye christmas, hello skinny minx! Says she with a spicy chicken fillet burger and battered mushrooms sitting beside her

It may tone your muscles beneath but it won't remove the layer(s) of fat sitting on top.

No, they don't. Buy runners instead. They can slightly tone you if you have less than 8-10% body fat, but most of the hopefuls who pick this up are led to believe by marketing materials which should be made illegal that they make you skinny. In the same way that an ab roller can make you skinny. You want to be Skinny, put down the cheesecake and go for a run/swim/cycle.

:( Naysayers, way to go, depress me.. Of course nothing like this will work if that's all you do, but I'd lost a load of weight (well, I had before christmas) and since I had my son, no matter how much I lose, flabby belly remains,so that's what this is for. I'll prove you all wrong out of pure spite :p

According to an article from Medscape.com, the American Dietetic Association recommends that men have 15-18% body fat and women have 20-25% body fat. Healthy male athletes might be as low as 5-12% body fat, and healthy female athletes could be as low as 10-20%.

8-10% body fat isn't healthy for Joe Public I'm afraid.

Exactley Stuart, you need to be superslim to see a toning effect from these, you have to have practically nil visible body fat to see a slight toning benefit. Waste of money for the average person. Quackles, much as I would like you to, I am afraid you won't prove us wrong, if these things really worked the way they are marketed people would be queuing up to buy them and not Nintendo Wii's ! Find an aerobic activity and do that 3-4 times a week for 40 minutes or more, watch what you eat for a couple of months and you will see good results. Good luck anyway.

Depends what you mean by "work". The models on the boxes did not get that way from using this yokes. The technology does work and is used in hospitals, on the likes of comatose patients, it will stop muscles from wasting away. Wont do much for a 6-pack though.

Bruce Lee used these things, along with other training of course.

Get a chinning bar instead and do chins, pullups and leg raises.
