Are these channels still FTA??

    We have a Televes satellite reciever here at home and when we first got it c.1.5yrs ago we could pick up lots of channels incl BBC, ITV, CNN etc etc

    However approx 3-6 months ago the following channels disappeared?!?

    Men and Motors
    Bliss
    Scuzz
    Flaunt

    ......plus we never picked up EURONEWS, CNBC or MOTORS TV which I thought were FTA channels??

    I believe it's currently tuned to the Astra 2A satellite.
    Is there a way of re-tuning (getting) the above channels???



    (Incidentially, I rent a house in Wexford and we have a Sky box (which hasnt been active, i.e. no subscription paid on it, for 6 months or more) and which still picks up Bliss, Scuzz, Flaunt, (and that music channel that Glenda Gilson presents on?), and EURONEWS which must mean they are FTA channels??)

    Rescan for channels. Do a network scan if the option is there. Channels are shuffled around now and again and non-Sky digiboxes aren't automatically updated so a manual scan is required.

    CNBC and Motors TV are encrypted.

    The channel with Glenda Gilson, I presume to be Bubble Hits?

    I went throught the menu and found the 'auto scan' facility. I let it scan for all available channels (total - tv:868 and radio:198?!). I then went through all the channels, picked out the english language channels and reset them from number 1 upwards.

    Result: I have approx 60 channels in a row to viewing ...incl Euronews, Men & Motors, Bubble Hits plus several other channels that I "found" e.g. NME TV (Music) and all the 'Zone Reality' etc channels.!
