    I am heading to dubai at the end of january and wondering about buying a toshiba laptop is there much of a price difference between ireland and dubai prices.

    I was out there a few months ago, the value is pretty good. It would be better than the best internet price. You can ask for the better price. I Central Mall in Deria would be the best. Carrffoure is the best price, they will give you free stuff too.
    Pick the model you want before you go.

    Be carefull coming back as duty may apply.

    I agree with TommyGun, there are some knock down prices out there, if you are worried about duty then buy a laptop bag (or get one thrown in) and pop it into that and chuck away the packaging and hey presto! You can say it is your own from Ireland if anyone asks

    Don't forget things such as Windows version, keyboard layout and, most importantly, warranty. What happens if something goes wrong? Do you have to ship it back to Dubai? Or can you send it to somewhere locally?
