Any thoughts? or is this a comfy run-out for the away side?

    Mike.

Are Setanta going to show a match instead of the Munster game? Fancy Scarlets to win

Good question. If they have the ability to hopefully they will.

Connacht v Llanelli Scarlets, 18:30 that'll screw up thier schedule if they show it.

    Mike.

I'd go for the men from the Wesht for this one.

What time's kickoff? At the moment setanta are showing highlights of Dragons Scarlets.

Bummer. Luckily we didn't trek up to the North. We were thinking about going to the game up until Tuesday and decided not to.

    20-18 Connaught
    11-10 Embra

    2 fantastic results for Leinster

Just back from the game. Andy Dunne was outstanding, 100% from kicks at goal, except for touchline conversion attempt. Defence was exceptional, up in the Scarlet's faces the whole time. Couple of really stupid errors near the end almost let Llanelli steal it - quick lineout to Gavin Duffy when he was under severe pressure, and then Duffy didn't find touch with a penalty with a minute to go.
Llanelli got a harsh penalty decision to go a point up on the 80 minutes, first time they were ahead, but Connacht got a penalty straight away to hit back.
Great crowd tonight, in spite of heavy rain.
4 points clear of Ulster now I think... :D

Good stuff from Connacht. The Scarlets really do seem to be dying a slow death after last season's good showing.

Where in the Magners league table do Connacht have to be to get into the Heineken Cup?

For automatic Heineken spot, or ahead of a Scottish and Welsh side for a play off.

Just ahead of the worst Welsh side for the play-off isn't it? Now that Borders are gone both Scottish teams will be in the Heineken Cup regardless.

Connacht have to finish ahead of any Irish or Welsh side to qualify. They're in automatically if they beat an irish side and into a playoff if they only beat a welsh side.

Well done Connacht, good game by the sounds of it despite the weather.

Seems to be a little gap now between Conn, Ulster and the rest, but how long is the Magners league season? 2 rounds of 9 games is it?
