Best of luck with this Paddy.....If you need any help with promo let me know and send me up a few flyers and posters, I'll also throw something up on www.pokerireland.ie for you.....

Supported by Ladbrokes? Are they adding money/ offering any extra value to players or are they at least giving you a few extra quid :)?

tnx a million Stephan really appreciate that, i am waiting for posters and tickets to be printed, should get them next week, is it ok to send you some posters?.
Not adding any money, to late for that, but they are helping me out with the cost of advertising, and giving a special bonus for Ladbrokespoker.com for every entrant into MPO and MPO satellite, and they are not giving me anything.
But, if all gos well this year, we will be making big plans for next year.
Any news for IPO this year, let me know dates, and if your looking for a dealer or TD let me know, i will be glad to help.
Once again, thank you very much for your help and support.
    Regards...........Paddy

I think it would be best if you posted a copy of the blind levels you intend to use. It makes the decision to play or not easier.

hi endabourke, answer to your first question, yes there will be many pubs, clubs and casinos running satellite's across the country, but times and dates are not confirmed yet, in here somewhere, i have posted for my first satellite in Rhode,Co,Offaly you will find everything about the type of structure i will be using, i will be posting shortly a list of them all, so watch this space.

I am in the middle of finding good dealers {do you know any?} but yes there will be dealers.

I have many tickets gone out to different poker organizers, etc and many pre booked tickets, cant say exactly, but i am very confident that all tickets will go for this big event, i hope i don't have an overbooking problem
    hope this helps:)
would you like to book a ticket? you can call me direct 0876270165 or

Paddy run it well and the structure was ok i supose, its a pity that the donkey type play and mad calls thats reminisent of the CELTICPOKERTOUR on a good day was ever present all over the room. The cash was action pretty wild which suited me ,but the largest chip in play was €20 and they ran out of chips and it looked like a stack from the WSOP final table ,not that im complaining. Ladbrokes supplied decks made from tracing paper and the venue would never hold 200 players . Apart from that it wasnt all bad , the locals were good craic and ROY THE BOY was handing out money in the bar on the gee gee's . There is 14 returning today at 6 pm and they will all be at the mercy of the ever entertaining Vesty as chip leader ..... GOODLUCK TO ALL THE HOPEFULLS

there was a lad at my table that couldnt play he was so drunk, everyone at the table had to help/coax him along the way,
at one stage he had quad 8s and just flat called the river when some lad was betting into him with a house. if i had of been in that seat i would be going back today he got some cards
good tournament apart from that which had nothing to do with paddy.
won a 50e sng so got my money back from buying in to the main event.

every second person looked/sounded like pat short aswel :D

Have to say I enjoyed it, ran well for first few hours and then went card dead ended up going out in 16th with 14 geting paid. how I went out is for another post.
The blinds were excellent however one or two faults, got help them while some ofthe dealers were excellent and obviously knew what they were doing some hadn't a clew and playing as well. I had to sort out a relativly big but handy pot at my first table.
the other complaint I would have was the breakdown was still not known when I went out in 16th. He gave an estimate of €500 for 14th but thats not good enough. He said that he hadn't time but when we ran our charity events we had a formula worked out for a range of payout numbers and it was just a matter of sorting which one and puting in the prize money, didn't take 5 min.
    Again enjoyed it very much.
How about having something to say a player is a boardsie, a hat or pin or something , would be easier to reconise boardsies as I am sure there was a few there but I wasn't talking to any.

First of all, please don't ever associate me with CPT, the reason i did not have the pay out structer done (and im sorry for this lads)was because i had to keep an eye on that drunk, he caused a lot of problems for everyone and the last resort was to evict him from the turny, but i did not want to go down that road if possible, he just needed to be watched, several times i asked him to tidy his stack, put out his blinds and so on, and in the end i had to give him a verbal warning or he was going to get a 30 minute penalty away from the table, then an eviction warning, you know that saying “theres always one” , he used up a lot of my time. As for the dealers, a lot of them let me down at the last minute because they were tired and sick of poker from the Irish open, or had a match on, or some other crap like that, so i had to get some players as dealer players, and some rookie dealers at the last minute, and to the dealers who let me down id like to say “TNX A LOT”. Now there was accommodation nearby , i put it up on a post , and the reason i had it in Rhode was because i run poker once a month in Killeens and they gave me good deal, this was the first time out for the M.P.O, (like a stepping stone sort of speak) and i was not expecting it to be like an EPT event or something like that, i was just testing the water.
Was not expecting many players looking for cash tables cos most of them were locals, and don't play cash, but i know now, still did not stop all the heavy action.
Still, i think it went well, i was not going to go mad on the blinds, i like to see lots of game play.
As for the payouts, i will tell you later cos im bloody tired, but vesty got KOd out in 6th with €1,500
I am looking forward to Neill's turny in October, i know that will be great, himself and connie always hold a great turny, best of luck with that lads, see you down there, (wats the story on the stack, did you get 15k)

In fariness the drunk did cause a lot ofproblems, one of the female dealers had a very hard time in geting him to tidy his stack as it was in a heap and no one could see what he had. You had to be called a couple of times on this.
I would agree your tourney and the unmentionable one should not be put in the same book no less post.
