I bought a Snes over xmas and was looking to buy more games for it...mario all stars and all the donkey kong games! A mate of mine said that there is a retro gaming shop in Dublin that would stock snes games. Does anyone have an idea of where it is, or is there anywhere I can search?

    Cheers!:)

I think it's gone now, but there used to be on on Talbot st underneath the rail bridge
The same people used to run a second hand bookshop further towards Gardiner St so it's possible they merged the two

There were two around town but both are gone...., the main whole seller in UK {who supplied the EU market with 90% of retro games} closed down about IIRC ~5 years ago and instead of letting the smaller shops buy up the clearance stock they sold the WHOLE lot to Game :/

Ebay and Adverts.ie {link above} are on only places left.

The book shop is still there. Alas they only have a small selection of retro stuff now. Not much pre N64 Im afraid.

Places like Cash Convertors can be good for retro games.
The one down in Cork always has a few Mega Drive and SNES games lying aound.

The shop on talbot street DOES still have a selection of snes games. You have to ask at the counter. However, they charge a fair bit for the good games. But you can still pick up a few gems down there. I got Street Fighter 2 turbo championship edition there last year. Cool!

Ask to see the unboxed games behind the counter by the way!
They're decent enough guys there, and I like to put a bit of business their way but the boxed stuff is a bit overpriced(usually 20 quid for a meg/saturn etc game, which even with shipping is about twice the average Ebay price).Still its nice to be able to pick up a game without waiting weeks for An Post to deliver it.
