Good article on Aint-It-Cool-News detailing when all of the shows in the States are due to end this year (due to that pesky writers strike of course!)
    Boston Legal (ABC) Jan. 29
    Breaking Bad (AMC) March 16
Brothers & Sisters (ABC) Jan. 27
    Cashmere Mafia (ABC) Feb. 13
    CSI (CBS) Jan. 10
    CSI Miami (CBS) Jan. 14
    Desperate Housewives (ABC) Jan. 6
    ER (NBC) Jan. 17
    Family Guy (Fox) Jan. 13
Friday Night Lights (NBC) Feb. 8
    Gossip Girl (CW) Jan. 9
    Grey’s Anatomy (ABC) Jan. 10
    In Treatment (HBO) March 25
    Jericho (CBS) March 25
Kyle XY (ABC Family) March 17
    L Word (Showtime) March 23
    Las Vegas (NBC) Feb. 22
Law & Order: SVU (NBC) Jan. 22
Life Is Wild (CW) Jan. 20
    Lost (ABC) March 20
    Medium (NBC) March 3
    Monk (USA) Feb. 22
    Moonlight (CBS) Jan. 18
My Name Is Earl (NBC) Jan. 10
    NCIS (CBS) Jan. 15
    Nip/Tuck (FX) Feb. 19
    Prison Break (Fox) Feb. 18
    Psych (USA) Feb. 15
    Quarterlife (NBC) March 24
    Samantha Who? (ABC) Feb. 18
    Scrubs (NBC) Feb. 14
    Stargate Atlantis (SciFi) March 7
    Terminator (Fox) March 3
    30 Rock (NBC) Jan. 10
    The Wire (HBO) March 9
    Ugly Betty (NBC) Jan. 24
Without A Trace (CBS) Jan. 17
Women’s Murder Club (ABC) Jan. 4

This isn’t quite everything, as not all finale dates have been decided. Also, Fox plans to have three scripted series – “Bones,” “Canterbury’s Law” and “New Amsterdam” – airing until April or May.
My recently bought 9 seasons of 'The X-Files' will be getting much regular viewing come next month.

i did the whole 9 seasons of the x-files already so ill have to leave it a while before i give them another run.

Its lookingbad alright. So i know im ****ed some the end if Jan. ill watch jericho & lost & SGA until they end in march, Scrubs till it ends in Feb (BTW no last episode scrubs cancelled, - might be ending with a direct to DVD to tie it all up)

I need something to watch and i have recently watched All of arrested develeptment for the first time. Great show.

I suppose i might buy the 10 season complete SG1 but i wanted to wait for SG1 to be re-re-reased in HD

Some shows are noticably absent, such as "House". I remember seeing elsewhere that it had a finale date for May - not sure how that works.

Looks like its back on Jan 29th, and there is no record of any episodes after that (so I think is safe to say its the last)

I thought house was uneffected by the strike for some odd reason?

EDIT: Just remembered BSG is back in Feb/March!
    WAhooooo!

Ssuits me really as I've tons and tons of dvds to catch up on and also plan on rewatching Oz and finishing s3 + 4 of the wire and halfway through s3 of entourage and I have 7 seasons of seinfeld to re-watch too.

Damnit, I thought Friday Night Lights would be going a bit longer than that... But I guess they're showing the last 6 episodes straight.

Yeah I heard that too - I've seen nothing about it since. I'm not sure why it's unaffected - is it Canadian or something?

Just announced... house has 3 more episodes.
    http://www.thefutoncritic.com/news.aspx?id=7532
LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- FOX will close the books on "House's" three remaining episodes over an eight-day period, press materials from the network confirmed today.

Here's a list of said installments:

    "It's a Wonderful Lie" (Tuesday, January 29 at 9:00/8:00c)

House's new team and old team celebrate the holidays together in the HOUSE episode "It's a Wonderful Lie" airing Tuesday, Jan. 29 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

"Frozen" (Sunday, February 3 at approximately 10:00/9:00c)

Mira Sorvino guest-stars as a doctor stationed at the South Pole who is treated via webcam by House and his team in the HOUSE episode "Frozen" airing immediately following Super Bowl XLII on Sunday, Feb. 3 on FOX.

"Title TBA" (Tuesday, February 5 at 9:00/8:00c)

Expanded editions of "American Idol" - along with various series previews - will then fill Tuesday nights beginning February 12 until "Hell's Kitchen" arrives on April 1.

As for "House," repeats of the series will continue on Fridays at 9:00/8:00c (January 4-March 7) and Mondays at 8:00/7:00c (March 10-April 21).

    Cheers for that Dave.

Good of Fox to air the 3 episodes over a week.. but it couldn't possibly be due to the upcoming season of 'American Idol'..

    .. no, never! ;)

I'm gonna run out of stuff to watch. I must get my hands on new shows. Looks like house is gonna be one of them.

Ya, my TV shows on DVD look like they're gonna get much plaing over the next few months whilst we survive the strike.

Gonna get back into 24, haven't watched any since day 3 so I'm sure it'll burn the time somehow.

So Desperate Housewives is goign to end after only 9 episodes? What kind of contrived ending have they cobbled together for tomorrow...

Sat down to watch 7 seasons of the West Wing yesterday... Christ, what a waste of an hour and a half. Must go dig out Deadwood or Carnirvalé or something.
