Luas Security at Stops

I've noticed this week that the security guards that stood at the Jervis Stop since the start of december are gone! Were these just hired for the Christmas period?
shame if they were as the amount of Anti social behavouir (addicts and alcoholics) is terrible and can make the stop quite imtimidating.

*Incase anyone is wondering i have reported it before but nothing done about it -except for the christmas period.

This is the Westbound platform and it is probably the busiest platform area on the system both Red and Green since

the Spar, the chemist, the Millenium Walkway and the two office blocks all disgorge directly onto it as well as the Luas; plus all the pedestrians walking along Jervist St.

For some reason the undesirable elements do indeed seem to congregate there more than anywhere else I've seen on the system as opposed to say Abbey St or Busaras/Connolly.

Perhaps because it's reasonably sheltered due to the overhang or good place for begging/pickpocketing ?

I'm still baffled as to why nothing is done about it - i couldn't be the only one with these concerns!

I mean there is secruity in the spar and the chemist but nothing now for the luas!

Security there for Christmas only. Also plenty of beggars at Abbey St and by the way its not illegal to beg in Ireland anymore since a curt case last year, go over to Marlborough St anytime and see how intimidated you’ll feel.

I used to work near Malborough St - tis bad but you tend not to hang around waiting like you do in Jervis!
