Iv been looking for jobs in Environmental Science/Ecology over the last few months in the munster/leinster area. its proving difficult at the moment as i have no relevent experience. I graduated in 2006 with a degree in ecology and just returned from travelling in autumn 07. Has any one suggestions??

i can't speak with any real authority on ecology jobs in ireland but i just got a job in that area in the uk and it struck me that unless you had a masters you were really struggling. one suggestion might be to gain experience by volunteering in the area you wish to specialise in, but that leaves you open to exploitation and it can be difficult to convert that to paid employment. you could also try broadening your job search to include a broader geographical area. it pays to talk to people so pick up the phone and start dialling. if you come across well over the phone then you may be the first person that pops into a prospective employers head when they have some work to dole out. best of luck!
