Hi,

Hope this first mail-out of the new year finds you in good spirits. Sure you're probably feeling a tad low after the Christmas festivities and probably hoping to become a healthier, wiser & more admirable person through adhering to various impossible new year's resolutions. Well... we intend to shake you out of your raw-egg-&-banana-cum-cigaretteless stupor with an offer to get out of the house & cut a rug again on a Saturday night.

Indeed, it's been a while, but with the exception of the odd event here and there, Galway has had no alternative weekly house/techno epicentre since we winded down 110th Street last March. Well hoo-haa, all this is about to change as an excellent venue has become available to accomodate the city's rave-Dad-Jockeys and their restless flock.

Whereforth?

The Cellar's underground room on Eglington Street, lying almost unused these past few years, bar the odd open-mike comedy gig or singer-songwriter night. A perfect 200 capacity basement-space, ideal for the installation of a booming sound-system, a DJ box, a few flashing-lights and a feeling. Throw in three DJ partnerships, rotating the Saturday nights between them, playing their favourite house & techno sounds and Galway finally has herself a Saturday night alternative to the sounds of the meat-markets.

In short, Cyril & myself, bearers of the ridiculous moniker SiSi, will be hosting the opening night at the Cellar Underground on Saturday 12th January from 10pm onwards. We're going to be playing Badger music from it's true home - the underground bunker - and urge you to come down early to avoid disappointment as capacity is limited.

The following week on Saturday 19th January, the Disconauts will commence their tri-weekly house residence and the following week (Sat 26th) it will be the welcome return of 091's Tiddlerz & Lynam to the world of bleep-bleep-thunk. In a nutshell, we'll be rotating the Saturdays between us every three weeks: SiSi / Disconauts / 091.

I'll be giving away tickets on the sisi.tv forum next week and will hit your with a proper mail-out with charts etc when I'm back in work-mode. For now, allow me to return to my smokeless egg-shake hell, normal service to resume soon.
