Eminem is possible, I heard he is taking bookings through his agent.I dont think many people would go to watch him.

I disagree and belive Em would sell out very quickly here, Back in 2003 it only took a couple of hours for him to sellout which was remarkable for an Irish Show

    link below as proof

I would like to see more big Irish Hip-Hop Shows this year

But yeah also the international artists touring, we need to be getting way more here. I do think there will be an increase this year.

Em would have no problem selling out croke park. a little birdie told me he is pencling a tour basically helppush his shady records label. .

he wants to push the the careers of obie, stat quo & cashis & d12 & feels american & international tour would be the answer to the poor record sales.
(i have heard this from a reliable source, fingers crossed!!!) .

Imagine if Obie Trice came over, that would be hot..

I know that it wouldn't happen, but Styles and Jada at Tripod, that, that would be the place to be

Juice is really on the come up at the moment.

On another note, the Cool Kids gig @ Tripod is going to be sick

Aesop Rock is defo on the hit list.....i'm travelling back from South Africa that day and there better not be any flight delays. I'll be disappointed if i miss it.

Was at his last one in RiRa and it kicked bum and a few friends o mine where at SBSW last year and said he rocked da house.

So you'll be the one asleep in the corner! :D

Just in reply to the original thread, didnt think 2007 was too bad for gigs.
Got to see nas, mos def, EL-P, Kweli and Pharoah Monch (and Jeru tha Damaga supporting him who i taut was better). Love to see Rakim this year but he pulled out of the last gig so wouldn't hold my breath. Only people i'd love to really see be Murs, Akir or Immortal Technique. Also Method Man is playing the Dam in April, one to try and get to!

I'll be the one who is asleep with the nasty sun burn.

El-P is the only stand out for me from last year. I really hope to see Atmosphere and POS somewhere in the world this year.
And Hanger 18 d'be interesting, just picked up 'Sweep the leg' last week, some good listening.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 717 ✭✭✭ghostface ste

El-P was the best i'd agree. Also forgot bout Big Daddy Kane, didn't think was going to be too good but was class. Haven't listened to any Hangar 18. Might try get my hands on some see what they're like

    Amsterdam I'd say.

Also, please don't mention any MCD events in this thread, past or future.

I'd like to see Cannibal Ox, Wordsworth or CunninLynguists this year (btw CunninLynguists are currently on European tour but are playing mainly in Germany & Scandinavia :()

I'm defo going to both Aesop Rock & Percee P/Guilty Simpson in the next few weeks though!

I also agree that there were some really good gigs on last year. I went to El-P, Pharaoh Monch, Buck 65 & Nas but I missed De La Soul & then Madlib because I was away for both.

I believe Kanye is doing a tour of America this year supported by NERD and Lupe Fiasco.
That would be amazing. Three of my favourite hip hop artists at once. Hope it comes to Europe.
