TV LINK (Magic Eye)

Just wondering if anyone could advise me if they think the TV Link would work wirelessly with my set up and give me a rough idea of how to fit it and what goes where.

Set up is Main TV, four terrestrial channels via aerial (Channel 1-4), two sky digiboxes ,channels 5-6 dvd recorder channel 7. I have one cable carrying all these channels up to bedroom from a splitter and another cable going to kitchen carrying all the channels. The splitter is located behind the TV.

Basically, I wouldn't mind a set up where I could change the channel on at least one of the digiboxes when I am in kitchen and/or bedroom.

    Any help appreciated... cheers

Tv links don't work wirelessly so you will need to substitute your splitter with a sky compatible amp like an F140 by global or similar.

I bought one of these sky magic eyes before and it didn't work. By splitter to you mean aerial box in the attic?

sorry for the thread hi jack ;)

I think I've a two way splitter in the attic beside our aerial. It mustn't support the sky magic eye as I couldn't change the Sky Channel is the bedroom. I must get my hands on one of these F140 4 way splitters. I could do with an aerial point in the other two bedrooms and it would be dead handy to be able to control Sky upstairs.

Thanks Tony. I assume this will just accomodate the cables that are currently in the splitter I have? Also does the F140 have to be plugged in and what would rough cost be and is it likely I could get one in Limk or is it best to buy on line.

    thanks a lot

The F 140 uses F connectors so I'm not sure what plugs you currently have. The f140 is powered from the rf2 output of the sky digibox. Sorry I cannot advise you on where to buy as I am a retailer myself.

thanks Tony, the plugs are the standard coax type connectors,a couple of them are the older silver ones that you can screw apart and the others are part of the cables....??

Ok if you use the f140 you need to change to F connectors (which are a better job) or you can get a 140 amp with standard coax sockets.
