    Hi,

I am looking to purchase a new laptop, my requirements are:

    Budget Between €1000 and €1500

Intended Use I will be using the laptop for college, word processing, email, storing pictures/songs, downloading, internet (wireless), burning, storiong files etc.
I dont need a laptop for gaming.

Mobilty: I want it to be easy to travel with.

Warranty: I would like a decent warranty with the laptop as I hope to have it for a good number of years.

I want to stay away from MS Vista as I have heard alot of complaints about it.

I have found a laptop Lenovo on laptopsdirect, heres the link:

I would like to know what ye think of it, I'm unsure if it comes with a DVD Burner. Maybe somebody might be able to tell me

    Thank You in advance :):)

Yep, that lenovo has a dvd re-writer. You might also want to look at the xps m1330 from dell. It's a 13" so it's pretty light and portable.

I do likes the Lenovo / IBM but I also agree you could get a very nice M1330!

surely for your needs you could get an xp laptop on the dell website or outlet for 600 or less. I got a dell inspiron 1721 with 2 gig ram 240 gig hard drive and 1.9 Mhz dual core processor for 660 before christmas.

He's looking for mobility though. I wouldn't call a 17" laptop, very mobile.
