Does anyone know where I could get a Wharfedale Diamond 8.3 floor stander repaired. Sound is only coming from the tweeter. Tried only cloney audio in Blackrock but they dont repair them. Any help would be appreciated...

Peats are the main dealers for them, try there... it sounds as if the woofer is blown, it's not a big job or indeed a specialist one.

Cheers mate. I'll give them a try. How much do you reckon it should cost?

Just a thought - that speaker has two sets of terminals for bi-amping, if you are not bi-amping then the terminals should be commoned together with metal links. Could one or both of the metal links be missing on the speaker? - the two red terminals should be linked together, as should the two black ones.

    See manual here

Thanks Pete. Dont have them bi amped so the metal links are in place. I have a feeling myself its the woofer. Gonna call peats today and see what the story is.

I would not recommend going near Peats - I ordered an item from them online on Dec 13th - still no sign of it. Nobody answers the phone or replies to emails - its a joke.:(

Hmnn they've been in business over 70 years, they must be doing something right. Seriously though if they are the main wharfedale agent then the OP has little choice.

i find peats give great service! i have e-mailed them with general questions and ideas and they always give a fast response, bought plenty of stuff off em too and found the service to be good. (just dont fall for them trying to convince you that bose are the bee-all and end-all!!) maybe you order was lost somehow???
