Just wondering if anyone has any info as would like to go to Dubrovnik for 5 days in May...
Flights and hotels seem really expensive,just want a nice base for sightseeing if anyone knows of anywhere clean but basic!
Any info would be great.

Hi,
Spent two weeks in Croatia last summer. Dubrovnik and Makarska. I would highly recommend either and the country in general as a holiday destination.
We booked the two base stay including flights and transfers with these guys:

Very good to deal with and everything went well.

We paid 1100 each for 15 nights, two bases, flights and all transfers from the airport and between bases with Concorde travel so you may be able get a relatively cheap package.
Once you get there food drink etc is a lot cheaper than it is here.

Little Bo Peep

We stayed in a studio apartment in House Marga and it was great. The owners were lovely, really helpful and its location was right in the old town, just off the main street. There were loads of restaurants around and a v. short walk to port where you can get boats to the island. I think if you google 'House Marga' you should find it easily enough and wasn't too expensive.
