iMac connection with LCD TV.

Has anybody hooked up an iMac (the latest model) to a flat panel TV?
I need to order a few bits and would appreciate any advice on the following so that I get the correct 'bits':

    1. As far as I can tell I will need a mini dvi to dvi adapter and a dvi to hdmi cable and these will only take care of the video?

    2. For sound I'm less sure. I need a minijack connection at the iMac end. At the TV end component audio? Is this the best way for audio? There is an optical audio out on TV but I want to play iTunes on the TV i.e. the visualizer.

    3. Have I left anything out or mentioned something unnecessary?
In addition to above I also need to get a HDMI cable for a DVD (max 2m). Is there much difference between brands?
Can anybody recommend a good cable that is not excessively priced?
Can anybody recommend a one-stop-shop for all of the above? I was looking in the Apple Store but it's giving 1-2 weeks for the hdmi cable.
    Thanks for any help.
    Jim

www.svideo.com is very good and cheap for audio/visual cables of any sort. I've ordered from them quite a few times. Shipping is free and fairly fast. There's also www.tvcables.co.uk
