Can Kenco singles go bad if out of date?

    I have a full box of Kenco Singles Lyons tea and Dark roast coffee (Capsuals you would find in service station vending machines) its over a year out of date but it has been stored in a dry area., is it safe to drink?

    Empty contents into a cup/mug, pour in some boiling water
    add milk or/and sugar or don't add anything.
    Then taste if it tastes OK I'd say it's fine, but if it tastes horrible stop drinking it.
