PS3 in Dublin

    Sorry if this has been done to death, but I’m trying to get hold of a 40gb PS3, 2 controllers and Fifa 08 for around €400. Can anyone recommend where to look? I’m a bit of a gaming novice, so have looked down a few avenues that I’m sure that were patently a waste of time to most – Amazon, play.com etc. I’ve also had a look online, and Komplett seem to have the best deal at €405, 1 controller and no games. Which isn’t really much of a deal, really. Can’t seen anything online for Game Stop, HMV, Harvey Norman etc. and while I can get to a store to buy, I don’t really have any free time to hit the high street at the moment.

    Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

    Also - do you have to pay a subscription to use the PS3 online?

    Komplett's offer is actually among the worst that you'll get. There are good deals to be had in the likes of Xtra Vision and HMV. Your best bet is to ring around and see who has what.

    The online service with the PS3 is free.

    Yep, saw it on the way home last night - 40gb PS3, 1 controller, HDMI lead, FIFA 08 and a Blu Ray movie (either Casino Royale or Spiderman 3) for €416. Not bad at all.

    Just an update on this - I decided to go for this offer today at HMV on Grafton Street - they were out of the 2 bundled Blu Ray movies so I had my choice of their whole selection. :D
