    Howdy,

Will most likely need a tablet pc in the near future (You know the ones you write on)

Can anyone advise if there is anything in particular I should look out for as a bad omen ?

I'll be looking to spend the least money possible while making sure its loaded with ram.

I whole heartedly recommend an IBM tablet PC. Will cost you the earth but there verrrrry nice.
Try the X41 or X61 line or tablet laptops from them.
Theres also the new Dell tablet laptop that was released recently but I have yet to see one in the flesh, but having said that it looks nearly identical to an IBM.
Tablet laptops by there nature are not cheap and finding a "cheap" one will be quite the task.

Yeah came across some in the 900 euro price range which I consider cheap for a tablet :)
