... and New Years without a drink.

    ****ing delighted with myself!

Today is day 140 on the wagon and honestly, i cant express how much less complicated my life has become. how much happier i am and how much more hopeful i am for the future ( hope was something i had not felt in years)

Parts of Christmas were difficult, but so worth it.

Anyone on here who is struggling with drink i would urge you to seek help from GP, AA or whatever.

There is no such thing as a hopeless alcoholic, i should know.

Good on you!! You must be saving a fortune too - go out and buy something nice for yourself as a reward. You deserve it.

yes, an excellent achievement. Literally as a 3 times a year drinker I didn't even make it through without getting snared and having a drink or 2. So hats off. And all the best for 2008! :)

Day 140 - that's fantastic! I think even lots of us who apparently never had "issues" with alcohol would find it difficult to do 30 days, if we're completely honest.

Well done, and much respect for facing this issue head on. I know there's many a man and woman out there who wish with all their hearts they could find the inner strength to do what you have.

Christmas is truly the ultimate challenge, and it's a wonderful thing you've achieved - I'm also glad you're happier in yourself.

Wishing you the very best for 2008 - I hope life continues to get easier and better.

    *HUG*

    Rusi x
