    My girlfiend wants to go Horse Riding for her birthday... Who does a package for something liek this locally?

    Check out the British Horse Society website, it lists places to go horseriding. There's not really an Irish version which is why you should use the BHS website, it checks the equestrian centres and approves them so they should be ok, both for riding experience and in terms of how their horses are treated.

    I'd recommend a trek or hack (basically riding out around fields/beach or whatever) for first time, it'll be slow but give an idea of being on a horse. Then go for a few lessons so she can learn to ride. :)
