How small are the stakes? For anything under NL 50 PPP and GJP are both bollox.

I guess people think they are being funny or clever. It's not of much use to the op.

PPP and GJP are fine for the beginner - They are for the most part the same tables as they are both on the ipoker skin. What they have that would be of use to you are - beginner tables.

PPP also has very easy deposit and withdrawal services.

Game play wise it's pretty fishy - after all I'm on there. [I write for PPP in case anyone thinks I'm being unfair by not declaring it]

It really depends what you want.

Pokerstars is widely thought to be the best online site but doesn't really offer anything extra to the customer and like Full Tilt is regarded as harder competition for the beginner. Hope that's helpful.

Im microstaking GJP for the minute and it's very soft. PPP is on the same network so the games are the same.

I can't say very much for other sites, but by reputation Stars, Full Tilt, and Party have tough regs even at micro levels, but they have a bigger player base.

Best advice is to luck for a good bonus, this can make enough of a difference to your winrate to make any site good.

ipoker is probably the best to start at,
A good bonus can make a huge effect. for example, I had a large doen swing since moving titanpoker, I have made some profit, if I didn't have the bonus I would be at a slight loss over the sample. Over 5k hands, AA 20 times and its my biggest loser.

anyway, titanpoker have a decent sign up through bonuswhores, $200 max (fine for micro-stakes) and it clears 3x faster than GJP

    :o

Should of really elaborated on my comment. Both are bollox for clearing the bonus at NL 20 and below unless you play alot of hands. Otherwise both sites are fine. Plnty of fish there anyway.

If i was OP i'd sign up to PSO online and do one of the offers here.

    http://www.pokersourceonline.com/free-poker/money/

The party poker one looks the best and 125 party points isnt too hard too clear. Signing up too any of the ipokr sites is a waste of $600 i think.. Wait till your playing NL 50 then sign up so you can clear the bonus.

I wouldnt do the UB one. UB software is crap, the point system is awful(the bonus takes a while too finish) there aren't many europeans on it so in the evening you'll be playing with all the afternoon nits.

For anyone who is looking to play poker on the Ipoker network, Paddy Power represents the worst value. Even for a beginner the difference betweem a site like PPP and GJP in monetary terms is huge.

Anyone who is serious about playing poker seriously should avoid PPP like the plague.

Send a private message to the user Shortstack, he can explain everything about signing up to GJP. If/when you move up levels and play alot of hands the rewards of playing on GJP far outweigh other IPoker sites afaik. There's probably not much of a difference if you are playing micro stakes.
Someone outlined the rewards structures of various IPoker sites in a difference thread, and GJP points get you far more value than anywhere else.
I'd recommend Pokerstars too, they won't have a great bonus structure for micros, but its great software and they have loads of cash games/stts/mtts for your level.

They did? I must have missed that one, did they really do the maths for a variety of iPoker sites' loyalty schemes and draw conclusions, or was it the usual GJP > PPP stuff? I'm a noiqpoker man myself.

I definitely remember someone doing the maths for PPP vs. GJP, on what you get in terms of $$ for points. Can't remember who or what thread though and I'm too lazy to go searching :) In the last 2 months I think.

GJP has considerable value over PPP.
But for a low/micro stakes player its not the best.

A micro stakes player won't move up VIP levels, so won't get RB/loyality bonus.

Based on sign up alone there are better rates than GJP at the moment.
GJP has a reletively high bonus €500, if you are playing high enough or enough hands to clear this is it good, but if you are playing micro you won't clear this. There are smaller bonuses available that clear 3x faster than GJP (which is 2x than the average ipoker)

Best advice imo, if playing micro, is to get a good fast release $200 bonus, clear this and when you move up levels then go to GJP and clear the higher bonus.

If you factor in the current new year cash race I think you will find micro stakes at GJP very profitable. A 10c/20c player got a 4 figure bonus in the last cash race. A .02c/.04c player got $50 which doubled their bankroll! The payouts in the new race are a lot flatter than the last one so even more opportunity for lower stakes players to profit.

Also a lot of players playing micro stakes make it out of VIP level 1 and earn a monthly loyalty bonus. It just depends on how much you play.

I knew you could make silver with about 10k hands a month at $20nl,
didn't think you'd have a look in for the cash race. I was forgetting about the fact the the new races are based on raked hands not on points. GJP is defo the best long term, but I'd prefere to build a roll up to $500 then take full advantage of the 100% sigh up. Is it still released in increments btw

Yes Bonus is still increments, $10 at a time. I know some sites pay at end but you dont always get a full proportional amount for your bonus if you do not work it all off.

yeah, sometimes not any of it. When in incredments, you don't have to worry about making an initial deposit you can't clear.

Nothing against GJP (I do play there) but at these stakes Victor Chandler is unbeatable, for ipoker. The bonus is still 60 pts/$, but they give a quarter point for hands raked as little as one cent and more for pots that GJP and PPP etc still don't give you anything for.

What ever number of table you are comfortable with.
Personnally I play 2 or 3. I feel that I play best at that amount, give each table enough attention, but also enough action to prevent getting bored and playing for the sake of it. If I had a bigger screen i'd play more (as it would be easier to pay attention to each), but as there is overlap with 2 tables I don't like to push it.

    thanks.

All our offers are automatic. You are entered in the cash race by default. Your VIP level changes each month dependant on how much you play.

There was no code needed for the 1st deposit bonus.
