Living in London getting married in ireland???

    I cant find the info I want hope some one can help. My self and my girlfriend have been living in London for the past ten years. We wish to get married in Sligo next August. Have the hotel and catholic church booked. We will be doing our premarrage course in London and getting letters of freedom from priest in London. The priest In Sligo has been very helpful but not very clear.

    What I want to know is a list and time scales of what the church and Council/Regestry (legal people) will need us to do and get. We both can use or parents addresses to get things sent to in Ireland.

    Hi,
    I've just got engaged and have no idea where to start. We're also living in London (for the last 3-4 years) and would ideally like to get married in Ireland.
    No dates or anything set yet but I'd like to know what I need to do relating to church and legal documents and how long this all takes. Do I need to find my local priest over here to give me freedom? I've never set foot in a Catholic church here.
