Anyone interested in an Ace Cafe type meeting in the Dublin area sometime in Jan or Feb...

Probably best on a sat or sun lunchtime...was thinking of some venue (hotel) somewhere just off the M50 so either N3, N4 or N7....

We building a head of steam, here a few options for a venue.

I based selection on good size carpark, not too busy, somewhere to eat if needed...

    1) Lucan Spa Hotel. (Off N4)

    2) Clarion Liffey Valley (Off N4)

    3) City West Hotel (Off N7)

    4) Browns Barn (Off N7 opposite City West)

    5) Joels Rest. (Off N7 close to Newlans Cross)

    Times:
I think Sunday might be quieter....
    1) Jan 20 or Jan 27
    2) Feb 3,10,17 or 24

Feel free to add more selections....

My vote is: Lucan Spa, Sunday Feb 3rd.

(once we have selected somewhere, I'll ring them and see if they throw in a few sandwiches...)

Good suggestions for locations. My vote would be for the Spa Hotel in Lucan also., its easy to get to etc.

In the absense of any objections (so far), let me provisionally confirm the following:

    Lucan Spa hotel
    Feb 3rd, Sunday
    11.30 onwards

great to see something being organized. It would be great to get a few people together for this. I will send a note out to some of the Italian classic car club regulars to see if I can muster any interest if you like?

Haven't posted in a while but have been following the progress of this meet.
I'm looking forward to it and will most likely come in the little black 912 or the big six (if I have my daughter with me!).
Looking forward to seeing a bunch of odd old cars and kicking the year off for the classics.

can we get a quick headcount of who is coming.... if its just 2 or 3 of us then it may be worth waiting another months....

    The plan is:

    Hi,

If its the sunday I will hopefully be there. I have one issue, My battery connection seems to be causing me some issues with my electronic ignition etc (I think) this has caused me to backfire and cut out last week. The car is in Leixlip so the distance is very short to the Spa hotel, if anyone has any idea of what I can do, or have a quick peek on Sunday at my car for two minutes at about 11.30 or so that would really help. PM me if you can assist an I give you mobile no and address, I'd really like to go but not in my golf!!!

Despite the torrential weather, it was great to get out and meet some like minded enthusiasts. All the cars looked fantastic and I look forward to the next time we meet up. Thanks for organising it Kyote00 and brightening up a crappy weekend. I hope everyone got home safely.
