Is DiskWarrior my answer to better Leopard performance?

My mac has not been running entirely as it should since I upgraded to Leopard. Finally today I repaired my disk from my bootable backup and this has improved things but still start up and shut down are taking to long.

So, short of resorting to a fresh Leopard install would you recommend Diskwarrior as a way of improving performance? If I buy it, boot from the CD and click Rebuild will I come out the other side with a mac running as well as it did in Tiger?

Don't go near DiskWarrior 4 for now - it is not Leopard compatible.

    I found out too late.

    DiskWarrior update is coming soon.
