Just a quick note that the University Concert hall has being booked in principle for the 2nd Febuary 2008 for Andy Lee's first fight in Limerick as a pro.

No opponent has been confirmed as of yet, but it looks like it will be a defence of the Irish Supermiddleweight title.

Not sure if many from Limerick come on here so I may pop it into the Limerick forum also.

Does anybody know if Andy is going to fight internationally at super middleweight or will he cut to middleweight outside Ireland or against international opposition?

Andy will be a middleweight for quite a few years yet. He has no problems staying at the weight, but I would expect to see him at Supermiddleweight or maybe even higher later in his career.

Any word on an opponent? No doubt it will be a defence of his middle weight title.

If its just a defense of an Irish title the tickets won't be that hard to come by.

Paul McCloskey , Matthew Macklin , Alo Kelly , Jason McKay and Ciáran Healy all scheduled to face unamed opponents .

Not a bad undercard if some of the opponents are decent .

where did ya hear that - afaik he has two fights lined up in America between know and March.

Anyone that posts on Boxrec will have seen the spat between his promotor (one serious hillbilly redneck called Stacy Goodman) and another promotor over an upcoming fight on an ESPN bill which Fagan had to turn down because of a cut he picked up in the Kimbrough SD
